Upstream Journal
The Upstream Journal is published by the Social Justice Committee of Montreal. Reflecting the SJC perspective of Third World poverty as a human rights issue, the Upstream Journal focuses on economic, social and cultural rights. We explore global structures of poverty and oppression, and institutions and governments that reinforce these structures. Our goal is to contribute to the struggle for democratic processes that include access to information and transparency, the strengthening of accountability and participation, and the empowerment of the oppressed and improverished.
